A little history

Eudora was founded in 1857 by a group of German settlers who came west from Chicago. The town takes its name from Eudora Fish, the daughter of Paschal Fish, a Shawnee leader who lived in the area.

Today Eudora is home to a little over 6,000 people and keeps its small-town character while growing alongside its neighbors.

In 2007, for the city's 150th birthday, Eudora dedicated a bronze statue of Paschal Fish and his daughter Eudora by sculptor Jim Brothers. It's a must-see on any visit.
